Kent & Shirley Gray
Lead Pastors
We have been married over 40 years and have two daughters Natasha and Breanna. We both consider ourselves to be native of New Mexico, and currently live in the South Valley of Albuquerque. Shirley and I both currently work at Hope Christian School. Shirley has been at Hope for over 25 years, and Pastor Kent recently retired from his 30 year career with United Blood Services. Over the last forty years we have served in ministry together in various callings. We have never served in full time ministry, but always in a bi-vocational servant compacity.
We began in ministry serving as youth Pastors /associate Pastors at Valley Gospel in the South Valley of Albuquerque at the age of 21. Since that time, we’ve served as associate Pastors at HWM. We attended Calvary Chapel Rio Rancho for seven years, where Pastor Kent was privileged to take and complete Pastoral care classes. From there God moved us to serve at Calvary Chapel SW where Shirley and I served as Children’s Ministry Director’s for more than 8 years. Pastor Kent served as board member and treasurer. And now God has brought us back and has placed us in the position of Pastor of HWM. Our heart and vision for our HWM family is to teach the word without compromise, to instill in our congregation the full counsel of God, and to see the church family continue to grow spiritually and their faith be increased. We desire for HWM to reach the South Valley by partnering with those in our community and being the hands and feet of Jesus. Our prayer Is simple. We pray that God will use us and HWM to fulfill the calling He has on our lives and grow our church family and reach our community as God leads.
Joseph Aranda
Men's Ministry Leader

Joseph was born and raised in Albuquerque New Mexico and was brought up in the church. Joseph gave his life to Christ when he was 14 years old and has been serving the LORD since then. During his time walking with the LORD, Joseph has served as a teacher for children’s church, a youth leader, and now serves as the men’s ministry leader at Healing Waters Ministry. Joseph has been married to his wife for 11 years and has three children. Joseph enjoys spending his time with his friends and family in the great outdoors camping, fishing, and hiking.
Chris Sanchez
Worship Team Leader
Chris grew up in the South Valley here in Albuquerque and has been attending Healing Waters since he was a child. Chris has been the Worship Leader at Healing Waters for the past 20 years. Chris is passionate about leading the congregation in Praise and Worship. He is married and has one daughter who is a student at New Mexico State University (Go Aggies!).
Genevieve Martinez
Women's Ministry Leader
Genevieve (Gen) came to know the Lord in her teens, however she did not come to have a personal relationship with Him until later in life. Gen has always believed God was calling her to serve Him and when she finally made a commitment to Him, God transformed her life. Knowing that God has chosen her to be a child of the King, Gen is passionate about sharing His amazing love with others. In a world that is spiritually broken by sin, Gen's goal is to reflect His light to all. She believes that what we learn and teach to others is essential in this life because it will remain with us for eternity.

Rev. Meliton lopez & dora lopez
Healing Waters Ministry was established in 1991 by Reverend Meliton Lopez and Reverend Luis Garcia. Pastor Meliton Lopez along with His wife Dora Lopez became the founding Pastors shortly thereafter. Pastor Lopez and Dora served the HWM family faithfully for over 30 years.
Their influence and legacy are still part of our HWM family today. Pastor Lopez and Dora went home to be with their Lord and Savior Jesus in September of 2021. They continued to attend HWM until their heavenly homecoming. They will forever be remembered as loving shepherds and humble servants of our Lord Jesus.
